Midjourney Story Team: Stories are more important than images

Some information on the future of Midjourney:

Midjourney has a "Storytelling Team" that has been working on new narrative experiences.
I've been super curious what the team has been working on and what we can expect to see.
I was able to ask some questions during office hours a couple of weeks ago.
What they said:
Question #1: Can you describe the overarching vision of the Storytelling team within Midjourney?
"One of the biggest uses of imagery and media in general is to tell stories, so making it easier for people to tell stories is to me seems as important as being able to make an image."
"One of the challenges is that making stories in this new era is going to look very different, so having a team specifically focused on exploring that is important"
Question #2: How do you see the storytelling landscape evolving in the near future?
"It's not really about storytelling in the Hollywood sense, it's about storytelling around the campfire sense."
"...It might be more collaborative though, there might be some participatory element of it. I think there will be a lot of blending between what is traditionally seen as storytelling and playing a game and exploring a world. I think it's a different medium."
"...I actually have very little interest in like, traditional media or making movies or something. Realistically the stuff is going to create different forms of mediums and the storytelling team is in some ways trying to figure out what that medium looks like."
"The end state of this stuff is not going to be video, it's going to be something that looks more like a semi-interactive video game"
